Rooting Sansevieria leaf cuttings

I recently purchased a beautiful little Sansevieria trifasciata cultivar, my favourite out of all our Snake Plants. Unfortunately it looks like it succumbed to white mold. I honestly think its because I bought it from a store that knows virtually nothing about plant care {the plants from those kinds of stores are the ones that I have the most problems with}.

Despite the initial disappointment, I thought of what way I could salvage it. It was only three bucks, but I always feel bad when plants die and I can't save them. Luckily I had enough of the plant untouched that I could take some of the leaves. Using clean scissors, I cut off any bad parts. Fortunately there were a couple leaves that were completely intact.

I'm going to stick them in some perlite and cross my fingers! I know that this method of propagation produces plantlets that aren't true to they may not be the same colour. I'll take what I can get!
